Election Economics and Voter Awareness
Hello, hello! Elections, elections and elections! The only thing that was on the news for a few days now. So, we wondered, if people wonder about economics when they think about economics. Economic voting being a major topic of study in political economy and political science in general. It talks about how voters think about economic conditions before casting their vote. Some voters care about their own pockets while others care about the nation as a whole. But what would run in a voter’s mind when they cast their vote? The future policy promises or the past performances of parties. The survey we took up is a fun idea for us to better understand voter awareness and to understand the kind of role economics plays during elections.
We seek to pick a few voters from various age groups, income levels to have a little of everything.
The method survey would be face to face with scripted open-ended questions and a few yes or no questions.
